Trump insists that the tumult that has no affect the bond market has no affect on the tariff break: “I used to be not anxious”

President Donald Trump denied that a strong sale of bond market influenced his decision at the beginning of this month to fix aggressive “mutual” tariffs against US trading partners.
“I wasn't worried,” said Trump in an interview with the magazine magazine, in which he was asked about the tumult of the financial market after his announcement of April 2.
In the decree, Trump beat all US imports by 10% longer tasks and published a list of tariffs against dozens of other nations. The additional taxes were based on trade deficits that the United States had against the respective countries and issued fears of inflation, potential recession and disruption of long -standing trade agreements.
The markets were withdrawn after the publication. The returns of the Ministry of Finance initially went lower, but quickly snapped. The 10-year return rose by half a percentage point in just a few days, one of its fastest movements of all time, since investors also left stocks and the US dollar.
Ultimately, Trump published a 90-day stay on the mutual tariffs to give time for negotiations. But he said it was not because of the market tumult.
“No, it was not for this reason,” said Trump in the interview on Tuesday, which was released on Friday. “I do this until we come up with the numbers that I want to come up with. I met a lot of countries. I spoke on the phone. I don't even want you to come in.”
The yields have now increased lower, around 4.28%at the time of 10 years, about a quarter percent higher than the youngest deep. Trump had said when he decided that the bond market had received the “Yips”.
“The bond market got the yips, but I wasn't. Because I know what we have,” he said. “I know what we have, but I also know that we won't have long if we allow for four more years of gross incompetence. This thing was only – it was going as a free spirit. This was the most incompetent president in history.”
Although negotiations on tariffs have not yet been completed, Trump added that he would see it as a “total victory”, even if the United States has tax taxes in one year.
