NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW THIS

Oh dear, how sad, never mind!

Extinction Rebellion co-founder Roger Hallam took to Twitter to share his frustration in an 11-point thread after being served carrots and a handful of potatoes for dinner as a “vegan option” in the hospital.

Mr Hallam posted a photo of an almost empty plate from his bed with just a portion of carrots on it and wrote 391 words about the environmental benefits of going vegan – but admitted he didn’t like the ‘six’ potatoes it was served on had already eaten the side.

The controversial environmentalist, 56, who also helped found eco mobs Insulate Britain and Just Stop Oil, has been in hospital after ‘bruising’ his leg in a bicycle accident.

He was pictured last Friday with an external fixator on his right leg, which is used to hold broken bones in place with metal pins or screws.

It comes after a week of “slow” protests by Just Stop Oil in central London, with action expected in Westminster on Saturday at 12pm.

I’m not sure what else a vegan can expect to eat in winter in our glorious fossil-free future. There will be no food imports because they need fossil fuels to transport them. So there will be little else but potatoes and carrots for months, unless you want something canned.

By the way, Roger, I’m wondering how much fossil fuel was used to make that fixator around your leg, get you to the hospital in an ambulance, or deliver all the other things needed in the hospital to keep you alive receive?
