Bicycles Peugeot is introducing a brand new vary of e-bikes to fulfill the rising demand for environmentally pleasant technique of transport

Bikes Peugeot has unveiled a new range of ‘digital’ e-bikes designed to meet growing demand demand for cleaner, greener, healthier (and sometimes faster) forms of urban mobility.

In 2022, the European market for electrically assisted bicycles will grow reached a record 5.5 million units sold, representing an annual growth of 8.6%. Every fourth bicycle sold in Europe last year was electric.

Cycles Peugeot, which split from the popular French car brand over 100 years ago, will launch “several new innovative models” in late 2023 and early 2024 to serve this growing market.

Details and renderings of three models of the new lineup have been announced: an urban commuter e-bike, a long tail cargo e-bike and a front-loading cargo e-bike.

The Commuter looks very futuristic, but it’s basically a normal e-bike – albeit with a strap instead of a chain for extra robustness. The other two are more robust.

Crystals, nozzles and magnets – how can cooling be made more environmentally friendly?

The long tail cargo e-bike still resembles a regular bike in looks and handling, but is especially helpful for commuters looking for extra carrying capacity.

The front loader, on the other hand, has a large box attached at the front that can hold a ton of stuff. While it may look a bit awkward due to the cargo area’s low center of gravity, these front loaders are surprisingly manoeuvrable. In fact, they increasingly are popular throughout Europe as “car replacement” bicycles.

According to Amsterdam-based auto giant Stellantis, which owns the Peugeot brand, both cargo bikes are comfortable to ride carry Do your weekly grocery shopping or transport two or three kids to and from daycare.

All new Peugeot e-bikes Function smartphone integration. Through a proprietary app, users can configure a variety of settings, view the bike’s real-time location, access navigation, toggle weather forecast data, and view ride stats.

The e-bike trio is designed and manufactured by connected e-bike and app startup Beweelsociety, but carries the Cycles Peugeot brand.

The French startup has developed connected e-bikes and an app that offers cyclists financing, insurance, maintenance and anti-theft services. This year it was one of ten startups funded as part of Stellantis’ €300 million mobility innovation fund.

Cycles Peugeot has yet to announce the prices for the new e-bikes, but the company is unveiling the new designs at this week’s PER DAYS Exhibition in Paris.
