Biden turned inside out when claiming that people are no longer saying “tornado”
Tue, September 7, 2021
Biden visited New York and New Jersey to observe the damage that Hurricane Ida had wreaked in the past few days. He spoke about the effects of the storm as well as other devastating weather events across the country and their relationship to climate change.
“We have to make sure we don’t leave a community behind, across the country,” Biden said at a news conference in New Jersey.
Biden began describing damage from tornadoes to communities in the middle of the country.
“Members of Congress know from their colleagues in Congress that, uh, you know, the one that looks like a tornado, they don’t call them that anymore, the one that hits the fields and wetlands in the middle of the country, in Iowa, and Nevada . It’s just across the board. “
