The “local weather finance hole”… hole? Extra of an “insurmountable cliff”! – Watt with it?

I don’t think “gap” is the right word for it:

I don’t know which is funnier: the “climate finance gap” graphic or the fact that everyone might take this seriously. The BNEF article is actually hilarious.

Here are some of the “highlights”:

  1. “Future Metals Demand Expected to Outstrip Supply”… No Shale Sherlock? In many cases, demand will exceed world proven reserves, if not known resources. See: Mining for net zero: The impossible task.
  2. “Hydrogen supply will exceed demand”… Which means that hydrogen production will quickly become uneconomical and supply will struggle to keep up with demand.
  3. “Climate finance gap remains huge”… It’s like calling the Grand Canyon a “gap” in the Colorado Plateau.

Climate finance is currently somewhere at the bottom of the canyon…

BNEF and everyone who didn’t laugh at the “climate finance gap” graphic brought Larry the Cable Guy Lifetime Achievement Awards.
