While the full list of participating athletes across 10 competition classes will be announced on April 24, 2023, the competition organizers have revealed what some of the bodybuilders can potentially win with their exemplary performances. (Note: the list will probably not include a legend.)

On February 23, 2023, the Masters Olympia announced this Total prize money for the 2023 repeat of the competition would be $229,000. Presumably the money relates to what is likely to be the flagship event in the men’s Open division (45+). At the time of writing, it is unclear how this money will be divided into this category or among the other relevant departments, if any.

At the last edition of the Masters Olympia, held in 2012, 2008 Mr. Olympia champion Dexter Jackson won the men’s open portion. He would take home $75,000 for his efforts. For comparison to the modern returns of the competition, here is a breakdown of the 2012 Masters Olympia men’s Open totals ($145,000):

  3. Dennis James: $20,000
  4. Edward Nunn: $10,000
