Tesla's “Mannequin Q” is to be launched underneath $ 30,000 in 2025, says Deutsche Financial institution
Just almost a month ago, Elon Musk, CEO von Tesla, told the investors that a regular Tesla model at a price of $ 25,000 would be “senseless” and “silly” without the driverless robotaxi just launched.
“It would completely contradict what we believe,” said Musk.
Let's call it the art to market tension, but he never said anything about a Tesla model that costs less than $ 30,000.

And that seems to be exactly what awaits us for 2025, said analysts from Deutsche Bank, who recently participated in meetings with Travis Axelrod, Head of Investor Relations at Tesla.
“The New Tesla model [referred to as ‘Model Q’] Should start [the first half of 2025]And the price, including subsidies, will be less than $ 30,000, ”wrote the analyst of Deutsche Bank, Edison Yu, in a note.
This means that the price for the Model Q, if it should be called, would be a maximum of $ 37,499 without the Federal Tax incentive of the bid government in the amount of $ 7,500 for the purchase of a new electric vehicle.
Since the new Trump government reports to end incentives at the beginning of next year, Musk may not have played with words and numbers when he refused to provide more information on the price of a new affordable Tesla model.
The CEO of Tesla, a close advisor to the designated President Donald Trump, gave his blessing to end the incentive and explains that the step for Tesla competitors would be “devastating”.
Tesla has been driving the idea of a new affordable model since at least 2020, whereby many assume that this model will be cheaper than Model 3. However, it is noteworthy that the simplest model 3 currently costs less than $ 30,000, on Teslas US website.
The report by Deutsche Bank and probably also Teslas Axelrod did not provide any more information on the features of the new Model Q.
At the beginning of the year, Reuters reported that the car manufacturer developed a compact crossover whose production was planned for 2025. In May it was reported that this new model looks like a “slimmed down” version of the Model Y.
