From the Washington Post:
President Biden plans to spend more than $ 1 trillion on climate change, but more than a third of Americans are unwilling to raise a single dollar.
A poll of 1,200 registered voters published by the Competitive Enterprise Institute on Tuesday found that 35% were unwilling to spend their own money to reduce the effects of climate change. Another 15% said they would only pay up to $ 10 a month.
Another 6% said they would be willing to spend between $ 11 and $ 20 a month. At the other end of the spectrum were those who said they would part with $ 901 to $ 1,000 a month for climate – they counted 1%.
The results of CRC Research’s poll are in line with previous polls showing that Americans, by and large, are climatic bottlenecks.
The AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs’ 2019 survey found that 57% were willing to spend an additional $ 1 a month on climate change, but only 28% would pay $ 10.

I have long complained about biased polls asking if people are concerned about climate change but don’t question how much they would be willing to pay.
This latest survey shows that 56% don’t want to pay more than $ 20 a month. In contrast, only 1% would pay $ 1000 per month. in fact, only the richest could afford to pay that much.
