NASA is actively in search of life within the universe, says an official

Smart life could exist anywhere else in the universe than Earth, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said in an interview Tuesday, and NASA is actively looking for signs.

“If you have a universe that’s 13.5 billion years old – it’s that big – is there any chance of another sun and another planet with an atmosphere like ours? I’d say yes, so I guess that we’ll get some. ” an indication that there is intelligent life out there, “Nelson said in an interview on Tuesday.

In a report on unidentified flying objects released on June 25, the U.S. government failed to explain 143 of the 144 cases of UFOs reported by military aircraft between 2004 and 2021, according to the office of the director of the National Intelligence Service.

Nelson told CNBC’s The News with Shepard Smith that NASA has been involved in the search for intelligent life for years, noting that the agency is looking for life on the planets in our solar system and elsewhere in the cosmos to target other suns determine the planets with habitable atmospheres.

The former Florida Senator added that part of the quest involves learning more about Mars. NASA’s Ingenuity experimental helicopter completed its ninth flight on Mars on Monday. Ingenuity flew at speeds of up to 5 meters (over 16 feet) per second for almost 3 minutes, according to a tweet from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California.

“This particular time, it is exploring a very sandy area to see if the rover goes there and possibly gets stuck in the sand. So Ingenuity does amazing things,” said Nelson.

NASA described Ingenuity’s latest flight as “the most nerve-wracking flight since Flight 1”.
