Microsoft releases round 9,000 workers within the final cuts

Microsoft said on Wednesday that around 9,000 employees will be released. The move will affect less than 4% of his global workforce in various teams, geographies and experience levels, said a person familiar with the matter.

The announcement will be made on the second day of the 2026 financial year by Microsoft. Managers of the company based in Redmond, Washington, usually present reorganizations at the time of the new financial year.

“We continue to implement organizational changes that are necessary to best position the company and the teams for success in a dynamic market,” said a Microsoft spokesman in an e -mail.
