Jetblue presents some pilots early pension packages, says Union, says Union

Jetblue Airways Your union offers the early pension packages for some of his pilots on Friday.

The airline has been working on reducing costs and increasing income with initiatives such as new first -class seats while dealing with one Pratt & Whitney Motor recall that has grounded some of his planes.

The company has opened voluntary separation offers and they will be closed on February 7, said Air Line Pilots Association Note, seen by CNBC.

Jetblue and the union agreed to pay pilots for 55 hours of their hourly salary rate for their mandatory retirement or 18 months after the separation agreement, depending on what was less. In the agreement, the contract letters stated that an Airbus A320 captain, 12 years in and in December 2027 will be 65 years old.

Jetblue, which reports quarterly results on Tuesday, did not immediately answer a request for comments.

The agreement between society and the association from the beginning of this week states that justified pilots on or before March 31 will be 59 years old. The retirement age for US Commercial Airline pilots made by federal use is 65.
