The Wall Street Titan Jamie Dimon said on Thursday that a recession for the United States is still a serious opportunity to even after the recent tariff in the tariff in China.

“If there is a recession, I don't know how big it will be or how long it will take. Hopefully we avoid it, but I wouldn't take it off the table at this point” JPmorgan Chase CEO said Television in an interview with Bloomberg.

In particular, Dimon said that he would shift to his bank's economists, which put the recession contrary to the recession near a litter. Michael Feroli, the company's leading US economist, said on Tuesday in a reference to customers that the recession prospects “increased, but is now below 50%.

Dimon's comments come less than a week after the USA and China announced that they reduce the tariffs for 90 days. The United States has also introduced a 90-day break for many tariffs for other nations.

The comments on Thursday are a change for Dimon, the last month before the China Waffe arrest said that a recession was likely.

He also said that there is still “uncertainty” on the Tariffront, but the breaks are positive for the economy and market.

“I think the right thing is to withdraw some of these things and participate in conversation,” said Dimon.

Despite the break The tariff, import taxes for goods that enter the United States are now much higher than in the previous year and, according to Dimon, could cause economic damage.

“Even at this level, they see people who hold back and think what they want to do,” said Dimon.
