91 percent of German electric car dealers rate the current order situation on an annual basis as “bad” or “very bad”.

Politicians in Germany had made efforts to phase out fossil-fuelled cars and replace them with electric cars. But then the technical and economic realities began to take hold – especially among private customers, who turned their backs on them in droves!

They should have listened to the real science and not all the activist-funded nonsense.

The German online daily newspaper “Welt” reports here that sales of electric cars among private customers plummeted in the first half of 2024, falling by a whopping 47% compared to the previous year. The massive decline is a serious setback for the country's efforts to become “climate neutral.”

Hats off: Blackout News

“Germans are becoming increasingly skeptical about electric cars. Current figures from car dealerships show an escalation of rejection,” reports the 'Welt'. Private customers in particular are rejecting electric vehicles. Sales of hybrid cars are also declining massively, with sales falling by 37 percent in the same period.

“Dealers are not expecting any improvement in the second half of the year,” reports the 'Welt'. “91 percent of the car dealerships surveyed rated the order situation among private customers for purely electric cars for the year as 'bad' or 'very bad'.”

Meanwhile, sales of petrol and diesel vehicles have increased by 24% and 20% respectively.

Buyers are put off by poor national charging infrastructure, limited range and high costs. In addition, many consumers have realised that electric cars are not so environmentally friendly and come with their own environmental challenges. Owning an electric car offers few benefits but comes at a high cost.
