Cadillac has released the first official teaser pictures of the 2026 OptiQ-V and offers a preview of the second purely electrical model of the brand in order to join the performance-oriented V series list. The images that highlight subtle styling upgrades mark the first confirmation of the new variant before their complete unveiling later reveals the complete unveiling this year.
The OptiQ-V builds on the foundation of the Standard OPTIQ, the Cadillac SUV from Cadillac introduced for the 2025 model year. According to the car manufacturer, this V-series version will offer a more dynamic driving experience with improvements in steering, suspension and overall economy. While the technical details remain limited, the press release from Cadillac emphasizes that the optiq-V for “precision” and an “intoxicating” feeling was developed behind the steering wheel.
Reports from Carscoops suggest that the OptiQ-V could make up to 515 horsepower via a system with two motor-hiking applications, which significantly exceeds the 300 hp of the basic model. Teaser pictures show a diamond pattern grille, a V-series badge and a rear spoiler everything nods on its performance orientation. Photos also indicate additional visual updates, e.g. B. redesigned bumpers, 21-inch wheels and larger brakes.
The Base Optiq, recently checked by Digital Trends, is positioned as Cadillacs entry-level EV and shares its basics with the Chevrolet Equinox Ev. Despite this connection, the OptiQ has premium materials, a curved 33-inch display, an integrated Google tech and a standard all-wheel drive with a dual engine. While some disadvantages of the steering feeling and the mood of performance were found in the evaluation, it praised the cabin quality and the general comfort of the vehicle.
The OptiQ-V is expected to maintain the 85 kWh battery of the standard model and an area of approximately 300 miles, although the final numbers do not yet have to be announced. Cadillac says that further details on specifications and prices will be available in more detail at the official start of the model.
With the addition of the OptiQ-V, Cadillac expands its electrical line-up and strengthens its V-series as an important part of its identity in the EV era.
