The Albanese government will scale the size of the COP31 climate summit on 30,000 delegates if its offer for the organization of the conference is successful, since Labor himself has for a last effort to lobby for the ditch at the United Nations meeting in New York in the United Nations in New York.

Documents published at the end of last week have set the potential size of a cop summit in Adelaide to more than 52,000 participants, which include head of state, UN, media, sponsors, “observers” and their delegations.

More than 85,000 people took part in the COP28 event in Dubai in 2023, whereby almost 100,000 are registered-the record visitor figures at the last year in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Heikh.

We can only speculate why the Australian government would like to maintain the 2026 COP conference if they win the hosting offer.

Perhaps Australia guides are concerned about the costs. Or maybe they are actually afraid of thousands of participants from low income nations will exceed their visa and create a long -term PR disaster spectacle for the summary of the lost COP31 air conditioning.
