Australian resource minister Keith Pitt rejects the UN chief’s statement on climate change

With Australia isolated from climate change, Resource Secretary Keith Pitt has rejected a statement by the United Nations Secretary-General on global warming.

The Australian Minister of Resources has castigated a warning from the United Nations Secretary-General on climate change as a trivial “grand declaration”.

Antonio Guterres has warned that unless all countries report climate emergencies, the world is headed for a catastrophic rise in temperature of more than three degrees by the end of the century.

Resource Secretary Keith Pitt dismissed Mr. Guterres’ climate warning.

“Great statements are pretty easy to make,” he told ABC Radio on Monday.

“If they made a difference (Labor MPs), Mark Butler and Pat Conroy made that same statement in Parliament many months ago, and I don’t remember anything having changed.

“It’s about results, it’s about a plan, it’s about knowing where we’re going and what it’s going to cost, and it’s about delivery.”

Mr. Pitt is confident that the strong global demand for Australian coal will continue into the future.

He has requested a parliamentary investigation into lenders and insurers blacklisting companies linked to coal and gas producers.

Vote the balls in enough politicians to hold out against climate change activists and the climate panic will be a thing of the past.
