OK, he’s making a change. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison will spend $ 263 million on carbon capture and $ 275 million on building coal-fired hubs for clean hydrogen that, at least not immediately, will not capture carbon.

Australia has allocated $ 539 million to greener energy as it works towards net zero emissions.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison today pledged $ 275 million for four new hydrogen centers to create clean, renewable energy.
Hydrogen is the most common chemical in the universe. It can be made as a gas, liquid, or made from other materials and has many uses, e.g. B. fuel for transportation or heating, for storing electricity or as raw material industrial processes according to the government.

Mr Morrison said the hydrogen hubs would connect hydrogen production to industries that will use them.
The nation will also spend $ 263.9 million on carbon capture and storage.

I suspect the fake clean hydrogen joke will catch on. Greens want a hydrogen economy because hydrogen. And greens want clean energy. The hydrogen content is just editable. The green energy / carbon bond part never works on the scale required.
By building the marginally viable part of the hydrogen economy and promising to add the impractical part of clean energy in the future, politicians are buying some time and making it look like they’re headed in the direction the greens want .
Of course, we’d all be better off with politicians who totally opposed the idea of wasting taxpayers money to appease the greens, but there aren’t many politicians who have the balls to tell the greens exactly what they want of theirs Hold green energy ideas. However, a politician who wastes hundreds of millions of dollars on fake climate control solutions is a bit more tolerable than a politician who wastes trillions of dollars.
