Keep the wind turbines; According to climate researcher Judah Cohen, the increase in winter storms over the past decade was caused by global warming in the Arctic.

This week, an explosion of winter weather penetrated deep into the heart of the United States, causing multiple deaths and the blackout for approximately 5 million people. Sleet and ice have ravaged Oklahoma and Arkansas, while many Texas people have been stuck in unpowered homes in unsafe travel conditions. “Current conditions in Texas are historical, certainly intergenerational,” said Judah Cohen, director of seasonal forecasting for Atmospheric and Environmental Research. “But that can’t be waved away by hand as if it were natural. This is not happening despite climate change, but partly because of climate change. “Advertisement about: empty
Last year, Cohen co-authored a paper that noted a sharp increase in winter storms in the northeastern United States in the decade leading up to 2018. This is a symptom of warming in the Arctic, at a rate more than double the global average, which is disrupting long-established climate systems, according to Cohen and several other scientists.

Now that we know that science is telling us that global warming is making winter storms worse, I hope Joe Biden will listen to the science and abandon all government funded wind and solar projects.
There is no point in building power generation systems that are prone to snow and ice when the severity of snow and ice events has increased due to global warming.
