The British Prime Minister Keir Starrer released the British ambassador in the USA Peter Mandelson after further details about the relationship between the diplomat with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This week, the US legislators published a number of documents that revealed Mandelson’s obvious close friendship with Epstein, including a letter from Mandelson, in which he described the disgrace financier as the “best buddy”. Epstein killed himself in prison in 2019, while he was suspended for sex trade in federal trade.

“In view of the additional information in E -Mails by Peter Mandelson, the Prime Minister asked the Foreign Minister to withdraw him as an ambassador,” said Thursday in a statement by the British foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

“The e -mails show that the depth and extent of Peter Mandelson’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein are essentially known about that at the time of its appointment.”

“In particular, Peter Mandelson’s proposal that Jeffrey Epstein’s first conviction was illegal and should be questioned is new information. In view of the fact that the victims of Epstein’s crimes, which he was withdrawn, was withdrawn as an ambassador,” added the explanation.

It is unclear who Mandelson in the crucial role of the US ambassador – probably the most important diplomat in the foreign office of Great Britain – will be followed, since Great Britain wants to maintain his “special relationship” with the USA

The role is usually filled by older, established politicians, but if you replace Mandelson, you have to replace favor with an add -oriented, factual white house.

Starer will be interested in maintaining his apparently warm relationship with Trump, and the leaders enjoy a good report despite their different political tendencies.

Trump, known as something like an Anglophil, will come to Great Britain next week for a state visit. His warm feelings against Great Britain were seen as a reason for the fast trade agreement, which the countries hit in June led to a basic figure of 10% for British goods that were imported by the USA

Political pressure

Starrer has increasingly put pressure on how to publish details about how much the government knew about the dealings of the experienced politician Mandelson with Epstein before he appointed the role of the US ambassador at the end of 2024.

A day ago, Starrer defended his colleague and told the British legislators: “I have confidence in him” when he was pushed for his appointment for his appointment and answer session in parliament.

The White House has been under a similar pressure to publish documents in relation to President Donald Trump’s earlier friendship with Epstein, although its relationship was acknowledged in the mid -2000s.

In July, Trump said that even if the courts of Grand Jury Transcript in the criminal matters of Epstein and the convicted consumer of young girls Ghislaine Maxwell have condemned: “Nothing will be good enough for the troublemaker and radical lunatics of the left lunatics.”

House Democrats published a screenshot of a letter that was apparently signed by Trump, which contained a collection of notes in 2003. Trump’s signature is located directly under the hips of the drawing.

The letter has been publicly visible for the first time since its existence was first reported by Wall Street Journal in mid -July. Trump not only denied writing the letter, but he sued the newspaper for defamation. The White House said that the picture was neither drawn nor signed by Trump.
