2023 Final Scotland’s Strongest Lady and Man Outcomes – Izzy Tait, Louis Jack Prevail

Tait and Jack earned hard-fought milestone victories.

Izzy Tait and Louis Jack are the respective champions of Ultimate Scotland’s Strongest Woman (USSW) and Man 2023 (USSM). The competitions took place in Grangemouth, UK on 2 July 2023 and featured eight strong women and twelve strong men. Both teams had to complete five competitions en route to the titles that Tait and Jack eventually took home themselves.

According to her CV in Strongman Archives, this is Tait’s first strongwoman win of her career after finishing in the top five in UK’s Strongest Woman (UKSW) 2022 and 2023. On the strongman side, Jack also claimed his first-ever professional win, according to Strongman Archives, with his highlight so far being a second-place finish at UK’s Strongest Man (UKSM) 2022.

  • Louis Jack — 54 points
  • Chris Beethoven — 53 points
  • Callum Crozier — 50 points
  • Stephen Jackson — 36 points
  • Lee Walker — 32.5 points
  • Connor Monaghan — 32 points
  • Scott Milnes — 29 points
  • Liam Goldie — 23 points
  • Mr Greenhough — 23 points
  • Leon Patterson — 14.5 points
  • Robert McMillan — 13 points
  • Mikey Wilson — 4 points

The strong women had these five disciplines: Duck Walk for Time, Max Deadlift, Log Lift for Reps, Hornetop Hold for Time, and the Atlas Stones. Tait won the max deadlift (250 kilograms/551.1 pounds) and the log lift for reps (18) and placed second in the other three disciplines to secure the win. Tait scored 37 out of a possible 40 points.

The strongmen competitions were as follows: Duck Walk for Time, Car Deadlift for Reps, Block Medley Press, Truck Push, Atlas Stones. Jack won the block medley press (four in 42.72 seconds) and the truck push (31.7 yards). en route to his one-point triumph for the USSM title.

The USSW and USSM are not necessarily tentpole competitions in the strongwoman and strongman disciplines. Nonetheless, coming onto the board with their first wins as they continue their careers is a remarkable boost for Tait and Jack.
