When you do 5 issues, you might be extra indecisive than most others – what it is best to do as an alternative
To be undecided is one of the most frustrating and unproductive behaviors in which you can get involved.
It breeds doubts, uncertainty and even resentment of people who count on them to make a call so that they can go forward. If you let several options linger, this can juice the energy of everyone and make it question their ability to do things.
I have studied mental strength for decades and, when I put in my book “The Mental Strong Leader”, the decision -making process is an essential component along with strength, self -confidence, boldness and much more.
Here are five things that you may make this signal independent – and what to do instead.
1. Avoid and delay
It is one thing to be careful to be a different paranoid. You can take much longer to decide than be necessary because you are busy thinking about the effects of the wrong decision.

For example, let's assume that you cannot decide whether you should ask a friend's friend for dinner because you are worried to be rejected. They spend weeks to dawdle. In the meantime, someone else took initiative and this is exactly how your swarm is in a relationship in which you are not involved.
What to do instead
Sometimes waiting for the decision is justified if you expect important information to be okay. However, if you delay and avoid, you have the feeling that all options are still open, even if the window closes some options.
In view of the costs for the non -decision – such as packaging the chance of getting to know someone you are interested in, you can make a good choice.
2. They discuss indefinitely
Of course, it is to take as much time as possible to make a decision. Without a deadline or with a deadline in the future, you can easily fall victim to the Parkinson's law, which says that the work is expanding to fill the assigned time.
In other words, you use the additional time you have given to consider more decision -making for longer than necessary.
What to do instead
Give yourself a deadline if you have not yet imposed – more sooner than later – and create consequences for missing it.
For example, undertake to your boss that you decide within two weeks who you will set for a key position (an appropriate time frame, with just a small pillow). You will be motivated to stay on the right track because you know that the deadline will be missed will not look good. And they don't give themselves too much time to rethink it.
3. They ignore obvious decisions
Sometimes they know deep inside what they have to do, but they are looking for justification to do something else. The confirmation of confirmation is the tendency to search for information, interpret and prefer, who confirm an existing faith or in this case a decision you want to make.
For example, you have to cut a toxic person out of your life. But they always look for signs that it is worth asserting themselves because it is too painful to admit themselves that they didn't think they were.
What to do instead
In the past, accept inevitable. Stop finding support for what you want to decide and accept the reality of your situation. Don't let your aversion to something you know that you have to do your judgment.
4. You try to please everyone
You do not want to make a decision that you know that not everyone will fall and fear that you will have the setback or fear you could cause. But leadership – and mental strength – means to be sometimes ready to make difficult calls.
What to do instead
Take the best call with the information available at the time and go forward. Know that the goal is not a 100% approval. You can't like everyone.
Instead, try to make decisions that feel authentic and with your values. And you know that people appreciate that they have made a decision, even if they do not agree.
5. They are overwhelmed and put the same information up.
Incurality can arise from the constant review of the same inputs. If you are overwhelmed, this can feel comfortable while she feels comparatively uncomfortable.
What to do instead
Break up the pattern and expose yourself to new perspectives, e.g. B. to speak to people with different points of view and to look for people who are familiar with but are not too close to the decision.
If you also distance yourself for a few days, if possible. This can help to delete the fog and to remember your ultimate goal. When you return to make the call with a new view, the difficulty of the decision is often dissolved.
It can also help to imagine the short, medium and long-term image. Will the decision appear like a good one after 15 minutes? After 15 days? After 15 years? If you look ahead, you can do the emotions and the overwhelming ones that you feel at the moment and enable you to act with more clarity.
