A fire on an electric substation caused the closure of the Heathrow Airport in London on Friday, which caused considerable travel disorders worldwide.

Heathrow, the largest UK airport and a global travel center, will remain closed on Friday until 11:59 p.m., according to the airport, with a fault that is expected to affect hundreds of flights.
