At a dinner of the White House with technical managers, President Donald Trump Google CEO Sundar Pichai and co-founder Sergey Brin followed alphabet Cheap antitrust law on Tuesday.
“Well, they had a very good day yesterday,” said Trump and called Pichai at dinner on Thursday evening. “Google had a very good day yesterday. Would you like to talk about the big day you had yesterday?”
Alphabet expanded 230 billion US dollars to its market capitalization this week this week after avoiding separation in a pioneering antitrust case of the US Justice Ministry in 2020. Google held an illegal monopoly in its core market of internet search last year. The US district judge Amit Mehta decided this week about the strictest consequences of the DOJ, which made the shares of the search company jump.
“I am glad that it is over,” Pichai replied to Trump and caused a eruption of laughter from the other table guests.
“It’s a long process,” said Pichai. “Appreciate that your administration had a constructive dialogue and that we could bring it to a solution.”
“Right,” replied Trump.
“The AI moment is one of the most transformative moments that each of us has seen in our lives. Therefore it is in the foreground – and I think your administration invests a lot,” said Pichai. “I am already a good start to the AI campaign plan under your leadership, and we look forward to working together. And thank you for your tour.”
The plan to which Pichai referred to is the “winning of the KI race: America’s AI AI campaign plan” that started in July “, which claims to identify 90 federal styles in three pillars: the acceleration of the innovation, the structure of artificial infrastructure and leadership in international diplomy and security. Part of this plan includes an implementation regulation in July, which says that AI models “Woke Ki” or “ideological dogmas like Dei” should not include, which means diversity, justice and inclusion.
Google is also in discussions with Trump’s lawyers for an ongoing lawsuit that the President submitted more than four years ago, and accused the online video platform YouTube of illegal censorship. The lawsuit comes from the suspension of Trump’s accounts on social media website according to the US Capitol uprising on January 6th.
On Thursday on Thursday, Pichai visited the event of the White House “Ai Education Taskforce”, which was organized by First Lady Melania Trump.
Trump interrupted Pichai’s answer on Thursday evening: “Biden was the one who pursued this lawsuit, you know that correctly?” Said Trump and referred to the case of the Search Monopoly.
The search was brought by the Doj, while Trump was in office during his first term. Pichai did not correct him.
