Because of the AI-based “evaluation” of Stripchat, virtually 1 billion new customers have been reached in 2020
Stripchat today released its 2020 year-end data report. Good-golly is packed with more information than you would ever want to know about the live camming business.
For example, who among us would have thought the cam modeling industry had such a large user base. According to the report:
Stripchat has an overall growth in traffic in 2020 with 906,181,416 new users compared to 537,938,778 in 2019.
That’s nearly a billion new users after a year the platform saw more than half a billion. We’re talking about an industry that is pandemic-proof. (And there is no safer sex than cam sex for good reason).
Despite Salt-N-Peppa’s best attempts, we’re not here to talk about sex. We’re here to talk about AI and what Stripchat calls “the next best use case for AI”.

Called “Anal-ytics”, it’s … well, here’s what stripchat says:
Our team has developed a machine learning algorithm to identify specific sexual acts in the live streaming video. We named our AI “Anal-ytics” and it analyzes live video while allowing us to bring live anal and live blowjob scenes that happen at the same moment right into the eyes and hands of our users. In 2020, total traffic in both categories roughly doubled.
It sounds a lot like Stripchat developed a computer vision model that can search hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of live streams taking place on its platform in real time for specific model interactions. We’ll assume the system will then display these results in a “featured” section on the main page – or something like that, admittedly, outside of the duty of care for this article, I didn’t interact with the website itself.
Take quickly: This is genius. A decade ago, when the cam industry was really picking up speed with faster internet connections at home, the idea of this particular use case seemed far-fetched. But AI has come a long way. Modern deep learning techniques enable companies to search through huge mountains of data that would take thousands of years to analyze.
In case you’re wondering how this surge in user numbers has played out for the models, Stripchat reports the top five earners who made between $ 388 and $ 965 an hour. The site also said:
Users spent 98,595,157 hours on live cams in 2020, 68% more than in the previous year (62,190,458 in 2019). Obviously, it coincides with the growth in traffic. It’s also worth noting that in 2020 we have a new single-tip record of $ 16,897.
This just goes to show that nothing is more pandemic-proof than robots and sex.
